I really thought Captive was a great movie, not necessarily because it was a good movie it was okay but I'm a big fan of Rick Warren's A Purpose Driven Life.

Captive is based on a true story where both the victim and the killer were affected by the experience they shared while David a murder escapee holed up in Kate's apartment, held her captive and she a recovering addict read the book then managed to talk him into turning himself over to the cops. A Purpose Driven Life is an amazing book that has helped me personally in my life so I took a personal interest to see how this book managed to save this woman's life.

I'm glad that the films creators also followed up with the real Kate I always love follow ups I hate seeing true story films that leave you wondering what happened with this person or that thing etc.

I also have to mention how impressed I am with Ashley Smith. For someone so young she's been able to really adapt and expand her range as an actress and already has an impressive list of films under her belt. I really think she's going to be one of the greats some day. I really enjoy her movies.

Captive is a great film I highly recommend.
