I highly suggest readers starting from the beginning of this series to get the entire emotional effect for this installment.

I felt Cleeton did a great job developing and progressing the relationship between Alex and Dani which wasn't easy considering the mourning process Dani was dealing with as a spouse and Alex as a friend and his attraction for his friends widow.

Its a difficult thing the loss that brings them together more intimately than before however I felt Cleeton handled it well for the most part.

I also liked the minor cameos which were nice (which I always enjoy in books that are a part of a series because it lets readers know that characters they liked from previous installments continue on long after their final page has been written.)

On Broken Wings was a fully emotionally involved read and worth waiting for the final curtain call.
