A documentary about the proposed 1998 Superman Lives feature film that would have starred Nicolas Cage.
The Death of Superman Lives is a docu film about what happened to the movie that Tim Burton was supposed to make to redeem the industry that he'd previously created in Batman that Schumacher had destroyed. Superman Lives was going to heal everything that had been ruined and everyone was anticipating its arrival and the arrival of Tim Burton reclaiming and redeeming all the damage that had been done.
The film drags out a little bit in describing the creation and the black hole the production of the movie fell into but I thought it was great to see the honest excitement by Cage and Burton in bringing it to life which is always interesting to me to see. There's something about the creation process that draws me in.
I thought it was a good film and is worth seeing for those who don't already know what happened to Superman Lives.
