Movie Night: John Carpenters Vampires
A vengeful vampire slayer must retrieve an ancient Catholic relic that, should it be acquired by vampires, will allow them to endure sunlight.
Vampires is one of the best worst movies you could ever see next to From Dusk to Dawn. It has the same poor script, same grade school level special effects, similar crappy story line. Its got that Quentin Tarantino feel to it. But that's kinda what makes it so great.
The ridiculous silliness involved with a cast attempting to take it so seriously makes it worth the amount of laughs you get from beginning to end. I can almost never stop laughing when I watch this movie.
At the same time I enjoy a movie that isn't pure cgi effects which is almost every single film these days.
I'd rate this movie four stars but with as bad as it is It sits on the two star line for me.
