Movie Night: Twister
Bill and Jo Harding, advanced storm chasers on the brink of divorce, must join together to create an advanced weather alert system by putting themselves in the cross-hairs of extremely violent tornadoes.
Everyone has that seasonal movie they watch when the weather is just right. You got your summer movies, your winter movies, your rainy season movies.. Its monsoon here and there is plenty of rain to go around. Twister is my rainy season movie.
I can literally watch it over and over without getting bored and still find something new every time I see it. I highly suggest it for people who love drinking movie games because Twister has the ultimate goofs out of any film I've ever seen so if you like getting drunk play it and watch everyone hit the floor.
I think that's what makes Twister so great though too because when you count up all the scenes where you can see the camera crew in reflections, real film shots that they used in the movie depicting the crew driving to tornadoes in flat plains from one angle, in high mountains the next and then in a completely different state all in one take its quite amusing.
I lost count how many times you see all the damage the vehicles take in a scene and then you see all the damage disappear from another angle then return from another angle, cast wearing one outfit in a take only to be in another the next.
We all know Twister is a corny over dramatized movie that is so poorly edited and scripted you'd think that a high school film class made the movie, but sometimes its just one of those things that appeal to you about it.
Twister is a favorite of mine but I down grade its rating because of how poorly it was put together.
Here are a few of Twisters famous bloopers just for fun:
