Last Hit
I received a print copy in exchange for an honest review from Berkley.
I felt that Last Hit had quite a bit potential and would have doubled had the author bumped the genre to Adult instead of YA/NA so that the characters would feel more believable and their "histories" would have felt more genuine. I had a difficult time adjusting to Daisy because often times I felt she was more like a little child verses a young girl/ woman and it made the intimate scenes feel a little out of place which in turn made me a bit uncomfortable or unable to enjoy the building relationship between her and Nik.
I typically enjoy Jessica's work even though most times she brings heady adult themes into younger geared works her writing is fantastic and her creativity is something I always enjoy being a part of.
