The Boyfriend Sessions
I'd like to thank Pan Macmillan for providing a digital copy in exchange for an honest review.
When I stumbled across this book online I found myself quickly curious as to what it was about. I figured there would be plenty of comedy or romance, which there is quite a bit of however The Boyfriend Sessions has much more meaningful depth than I realized. What was interesting to me wasn't the couple that it eventually becomes about but the journey it took for them to get there. Mostly for me was being a part of the learning and coping process and vast emotional turmoil Christa had experienced at a young age. Belinda writes a story that really examines the reasons we *Christa* knowingly or not experience the type of relationships or relationship issues that we suffer from later in life. Its therapeutic to find that there are many people that have suffered past pains and those things have such fundamental impacts on our lives, confirming that we aren't alone in that place. What is so great about it is the emotional support *Christa* has through the process of realizing the reasons behind why she is the way she is even though she didn't realize it until her friends brought it to her attention. Its a wonderful story of finding your way through healing.
Absolutely enjoyed The Boyfriend Sessions very much and would suggest it to others.
