Embrace of the Damned
You know those books that you can't get enough of but can't quite place as to why? That was this book for me. I literally read this book five times in one sitting after checking it out from the library then went out of my way to scrounge for the book in every bookstore that I could find just so that I could add it to my collection at home. Three months, several bookstores, and many repeated visits later I finally found a copy. I really hope Anya makes a series out of this book of the damned because I think the plot and the characters really have something special that would make it a phenomenal favorite.
Its not like jaw dropping action that keeps you immersed in the book but its the emotional depth and the interaction between the characters - plus not to mention quite a few possibilities that could really blow readers minds.
Embrace of the Damned still remains one of my recent favorites and I still continue to return to it over and over.
