Final Lap
I received a digital and print copy in exchange for an honest review from Netgalley and Berkley.
Final Lap was a great way to close the Fast Track series although I could honestly see it going much farther. I enjoyed it because Harley was a character personality you don't get to walk with too often these days. She's both strong in and out of the bedroom, and while conservative and intelligent she isn't imposing and she isn't a person that gets lost in the background. She has a steady presence that any female can respect and find something in common with.
I really loved getting to see MJ fall into adoration for Harley and I really enjoyed getting to see Harley enter Coop's messed up life and turn him and his little sister into a functioning family.
Although Cooper over all to me really seemed to stand in the back and not particularly draw any attention to himself I felt he could have been a much stronger character. However I think in the end it was appropriate for Harley because she needed someone that wasn't overbearing to help bring her heart into the foreground.
I was happy that Erin brought old favorites along for the final bow and I was content with the ending which also could have ended on a stronger note, but was enough to conclude with a decent HEA.
There were quite a few chuckle moments, and good steam scenes Final Lap is a read you can pull out for a calm quiet day.
