Ghost Layer
I received a print and digital copy of this book from Berkley and Netgalley.
Ghost Layer is a book I will have to read more than twice to catch all the minor details and differences between this paranormal write and others I've read of Robin's work in the past.
Robin Owens has always been a fabulous writer but it seems that the more she writes the better she gets. Her work is always fresh and always new and always unique. Ghost Layer is no different.
She adds quirky twists to her plots and her characters, but I like that she doesn't just give them free reign. She creates limitations for them and gives them a realism that isn't often found in other works by other authors. Usually they are given limitless abilities and can do anything but with Robin, she gives them limitations and she restrains them so that they have a chance to grow and develop along with the readers. I can respect that kind of creativity. I thought Ghost Layer was special and unique and I will continue reading Robin's work in the future.
