Stolen Magic
Stolen Magic (Guardians #2)by Mary Jo Putney
Heir to an ancient title, Simon Malmain, Earl of Falconer, gets caught by Lord Drayton, rogue Guardian who has misused his powers. Transformation spell can only be released by Drayton – or death. Meg traps Simon, then frees him. As they flee together, Simon restores her innate magic, frees her from fear and lost identity.
My Review:
Im typically a major Paranormal Romance fan so when I spotted Stolen Magic I couldn't not pick it up when I saw the writer was Mary Putney. While Im used to her historical romances this was an interesting attempt at writing something oddly unique to even most paranormal romances I've come across. Some of of it was a little silly but there is quite a bit of potential for a really great story here once Putney has a more sure foot in the genre. I still liked the writing and there were many scenes that I enjoyed. I had to hand it to Putney for trying out something new and branching out to a new base of fans, not many authors have that kind of bravery.
